This is my third Garmin GPS and the one I be fond of the least. It’s single virtue is the larger screen. It has a touch insightful interface that often takes two or three pushes to answer, unlike the earlier models which were impeccable. The traffic feature works very erratically and often gives an error message that no power cable is emotionally caught up, despite that not life the case.

Garmin technical supports leaves greatly to be desired for such a large well established company. Wait times on the phone are often 40 minutes or more, and email support can take several days.

Registration over the internet is very buggy and took four tries.

The map show is as excellent as the additional models, but certainly not better. Lane help works about 75% of the time, the additional 25% of the time it shows lane assists for the incorrect exits. Since I have not been able to get a hold of tech support, I cannot further comment on why this is. Reboots do not solve the problem.

When first turned on in a place unsociable from the prior one, it can take up to ten minutes to find enough satellites to establish a fix. This is greatly longer than the previous Garmin units I have owned.

If you do not need the larger show, certainly go with cheaper models that have the same features and you will be better off.
