I ordered this charger for my Garmin Nuvi 855 and found that it will not work (the usb connector on the charger is too huge for the 855). There is a mark on the package (a cardboard and plastic package) that notes all the units it will charge and the 855 IS NOT one of them, even if the Amazon description does say that it will charge the 855. All is not at sea, but, because my wife has a Garmin Nuvi 255w with which the unit will work, so she gets it. I wound up purchasing a sucion cup mount with cradle and separate cigarette lighter cable which I plug into my Ham Radio Power Supply (it has a cigarette lighter outlet on it) for my 855 in the house and it works fine, albeiet a small overboard on the price of in-home charging. I would NOT buy this item in anticipation of I was absolutely guaranteed it would work with my model of GPS.

This is a fantastic product for my Magellan 3250. It was less than half the price of an AC adapter cord that Magellan was selling. It works flawlessly.

Rather than use one of these use the cable that connects your Garmin to your computer and save physically the money.

Having bought this item, I find that it does charge the Magellan Maestro 3250’s internal battery to full bars, but that they start to reduce rapidly. The charge holds far longer when by the DC plug for the Power connector in the car. Also, emailed the company requesting information on whether this AC Charger could swindle the internal battery of the GPS and they never answered. This I found disappointing.

I was well-pleased with the quality and price of this Gilsson 110v-240v adapter charger cable. I was a small perturbed with Garmin, considering what small cost they could make this item for, that they didn’t include the item as section of the 750 GPS system. Well done, Gilsson.
